| Sunlight Mountain Resort in Glenwood Springs offers top-notch Nordic ski trails. It has 29 kilometers of groomed cross-country and snowshoe trails. Beginning, intermediate, and advanced trails wind their way through Babbish Gulch, a beautiful high valley surrounded by Williams Park and Sunlight Mountain.
The trails start at the Old Four Mile Road near the Sunlight stables. At the beginning of the tour, you must expect a steady climb, but the trail will eventually deliver you through Aspen’s thick groves. If you want to go further, you may enjoy the small mountain stream on Babbish Gulch Trail, or you can tour through the woods of William Peak’s trail. The trails lead back to Sunlight’s base area where you can enjoy delicious food and refreshing beverages. You can also rent snowshoe and cross-country skiing equipment at the nearby Sunlight Mountain Ski and Bike Shop. Trail use is also for free, and trail maps can be found in the Guest Service Office. |
