Craftsbury Outdoor Center

The Craftsbury Outdoor Center features 85km of groomed trails both for classic and skate skiing. It has been the home of the east’s largest ski marathon since 1981. This non-profit organization aims to support and promote participation in cross-country skiing, rowing, and running as lifelong sports while protecting and managing the environment.

The Craftsbury Outdoor Center offers Private Lessons and equipment rentals. Other activities include Eastern Cup Racing and Biathlon.

The Craftsbury Outdoor Center will hold an event for the 2019 U.S. Cross Country Championships presented by L.L.

OTHER OFFERS AND ACTIVITIES:

EASTERN CUP RACING

As the name suggests, this group is for junior skiers who plan to compete in regional races and focus seriously on racing. Meant for kids age 14+, the Eastern Cup Racing program provides training specifically structured to help the skiers meet their racing goals.

BIATHLON

Lessons are approximately one hour long and can be done on skis or on foot. They include an introduction to the sport of biathlon, rifle safety, and live-fire shooting.

Dogs are not allowed.

MAJOR XC-EVENTS:

The Craftsbury Outdoor Center is excited to welcome the U.S. Nordic community to the 2019 U.S. Cross Country Championships presented by L.L. Bean. With national championship titles and start spots on the line for everything from the Junior World Championships in Lahti, Finland to the end-of-season World Cups in Quebec City, the racing action is sure to be fast and furious. Anyone is invited to come to the trails at the Outdoor Center, whether you want to race, spectate, or volunteer.
