Viking Nordic Center features 35km of groomed trails for both classic and skate ski techniques. It is an excellent place for all types of skiers, snowshoers, or fat bike riders. It is one of the oldest cross-country ski centers in North America.
Viking Nordic Center offers rental shop for classical, skate and snowshoe equipment. They also provide Private, Semi-Private, and Group Lessons.

LESSONS:

All Private Lessons are booked by appointment or chance. We recommend you call ahead to reserve a time not more than 2 days ahead of time.

  • Individual (1 hour), $40/person
  • Semi-Private (2 people, 1 hour), $60 (additional person $20)
  • Group Lesson: (about 1 hour) Classic technique beginner lesson for new skiers or those who haven’t been on their skis in a while. Minimum Age – 10 years old. $20/person, 11:30 and 1:30.

Learn to Ski Package: (Includes an adult trail pass, group lesson (beginning classic technique), and adult rentals. Designed for new skiers. Rates per person:

  • $55 (11:30 lesson time) with a full day trail pass.
  • $49 (1:30 lesson time) with an afternoon trail pass.

Other options:

  • Family Group Lesson: (by appointment) Base Price, $75 (for 2 parents and up to 4 children. Does not include rental equipment or trail passes.
  • Private Group Lesson: (your group, your choice: skate or classic technique) $25 per person (minimum of 5 adults)

Lesson runs 1 hour, instruction will be tailored to your group’s level of experience.

Learn To Ski package: Includes a trail pass, group lesson, and rentals. Full day, $55.00. Afternoon, $49.00.


Groups of 5 or more friends who want to learn to ski together: $47.00 per person by appointment only. This is a first time, learn to ski lesson package available in the afternoon only.

Off Area Rentals: We have a limited number of skis that can be taken away. There is a $300 deposit required for each set of skis and $100 deposit for each set of snowshoes that leave the center. Please call ahead to check on availability. Rental equipment taken off area must be returned by 4:45 pm the same day (or 9 am the following morning by prior arrangement). Please note: pulks are not rented for off area use. 
OTHER OFFERS AND ACTIVITIES:

Det Stor Koke Soke (The Great Cookie Search): Hidden out on the trails are wooden snowflakes and Viking helmets. Each one has a different paper punch attached to them. Pick up a punch card when you get your trail passes, learn the rules of the search, go out and find the required number of punches, and then trade in the card for a cookie in the Cafe.

Night Skiing

Special party rates available by pre-arrangement. $50 clubhouse + $5 per child for trail pass and equipment rental. Available most afternoons. Time limits apply.
